Close Encounters

Friday, September 14th: 6-9:30 pm

Join us for one of our most anticipated events! Our annual fundraising benefit will be held Friday, September 14th from 6 to 9:30 pm. Animals will be on display in their habitats from 6-7 pm. Dinner is served at 7 pm followed with our featured presentation beginning at 7:45. The Columbus Zoo will be bringing a handful of their animal ambassadors to present so this is a great chance to see some animals you wouldn't ordinarily see at The Creature Conservancy.

Advanced ticket purchase necessary. Early bird tickets go on sale July 15th-August 15th for $150/ticket. Regular price $175/ticket. Tickets are limited. Food and drinks are included with ticket pricing.

Kids and Creatures

Registration opening soon for fall & winter sessions

Each day we will meet 3 amazing animals such as an armadillos, kangaroos, or tortoises. Kids and parents/grandparents/guardians will learn about each animal, get to ask questions, and even touch some of the  animals! Then we'll get on our feet for some movement activities and games designed for various ages and abilities, followed by group story time. The morning includes sensory stations and cool crafts based on the animals from the week's presentation.

This is a wonderful experience for your child to learn about and expand their exposure to the natural world. It is designed as a child and parent/caregiver class. We encourage you to share this time with your child and find alternative arrangements for siblings under 2.5 years. In general, the time dedicated to viewing and quietly listening to information about the animals is beyond what can be expected of those younger than 2.5 years. Thank you in advance for your foreplanning and for keeping our classroom environment safe and enjoyable for all participants & for our animals.
